Required Ingredients

  • A cup of freshly whipped cream
  • ½ a cup of condensed milk
  • 3 tbsp of sugar
  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • ¼ tsp of cardamom powder
  • Few saffron strands
  • 4 to 5 chopped almonds
  • A handful of pistachios (chopped), optional
  • Dried rose petals (for garnishing)

Method

  • In pan, boil the milk till it is reduced to half. Meanwhile, take a tsp of warm milk in small bowl and add the strands of saffron to it and mix. Then pour the mixture in the pan where the milk is boiling. Pour in the sugar and the chopped almonds and stir along.
  • Keep the bowl and let it cool down. Then refrigerate for an hour.
  • Now in a chilled bowl, keep whisking the fresh cream till a soft peaks form.
  • Then take out the prepared milk from the refrigerator, and combine it with some condensed milk and cardamom powder. Gently combine them.
  • Now in a preferred serving bowl or a wine-glass, starting assembling the crumbled pieces of rasmalai with the chilled mixture.
  • Pour 2 tsp of the chilled mixture and then top it off with the pieces of rasmalai, and repeat the process. Then chill the preparation for an hour.
  • Before serving, add some chopped pistachios and strands of saffron to the mousse.
